Conversation With Sophie
Sophie: There's a boy at the pool that I like. He's the lifeguard with red hair.
Me: Have you said anything to him?
Sophie: No.
Me: Has he said anything to you?
Sophie: Yes. He said, "Stop running."

If I Was Dying
If I found out that I was going to die in a month, I would run an ultramarathon. If I couldn't find an event, then I would organize one myself or run it on my own.

Libraries
A problem with libraries is that they tend not to carry the books that make arguments against the existence of libraries.

Atheism
I'm not sure about atheists. I wish there was a simple term meaning "non-militant atheist". Atheists seem to be so full of rage, and understandably so. It is amazing how much power Christians have over the lives of others. I grew up Southern Baptist and I remember "whoa is me" sermons where the pastor claimed that Christianity had lost any importance in social life. Now that I'm on the outside it is amazing how much deception was in that message.
Atheists seem to proselytize more than Southern Baptists do. I read about an atheistic ad campaign on London buses. Propaganda exists too. Today I read the story about Bill Nye, The Science Guy, who got booed in Waco, Texas. The stories were slanted. The stated that the audience booed Nye because he said the moon did not generate its own light, when in fact they booed him because he said that the Bible was incorrect. Also there was no mention that the Nye probably knew exactly what he was provoking.

Exercise
Exercise can be enjoyable. Even if you are completely out of shape you can start getting your heart rate up to 120 BPM for an hour four times a week and it will be enjoyable. After a while you can increase that to a 145 BPM heart rate for 40 minutes and it will be enjoyable. One thing with aerobic exercise is overcoming boredom. I first overcame boredom by reading John Kabat-Zinn's book Wherever You Go, There You Are. Then I started running. I recently joined Life Time Fitness and I did an evaluation with a personal trainer. I thought it was strange when he referred to the five minute treadmill test as boring. I thought about how much my perspective has changed in the last couple of years.
